What better way to recover and savour the feeling that comes after a big day on the trails than sitting down to a slap-up meal, listening to some great tunes and a drink or two with both old and newly made friends!?
This is an important aspect of this special event. We would love for as many of you as possible to join us for a meal and good time together on Saturday evening. The evening meal is a proper low and slow BBQ meal, fitting of a proper Hunua Hoedown, from Krave Catering (trust me guys, I’ve had his BBQ before, it is SO GOOD), a couple of drinks and plenty of yummy dessert & will be served from 6:30pm until 8:00pm.
During dinner we will be treating you to some magic country tunes from New Zealand’s number one country duo - Coopers Run
At 8pm we will have the formalities and prize giving before we clear the tables, to make room for a dance floor and Coopers Run come back on for there second set!
Make sure you pack ya dancing shoes, and fine tuning those line dancing skills isn’t a bad idea either! 😉
This should be a really fun and special evening, fitting of the occasion!
Tickets for the Hunua Howdown are $50 ($30 for kids) and include dinner, dessert, a couple of drinks and live band. These can be purchased when entering the event or if you have already entered and would like to add this (trust us, you should!) you can go back into your entry from your email confirmation and do so.
Note: Although prize giving it scheduled while dinner is being served, we of course want everyone to come to prize giving even if you aren’t having dinner, there will be plenty of room for all!
