Come and join us for a beautifully brutal trail journey through the Hunua Ranges’ stunning native bush and experience an event like no other.

Tackle the original 60km Ultramarathon, a course which demands some serious respect! Or join us for the Trail Marathon or 22km course options which still deliver a serious amount of challenge of their own, plus plenty single trail bliss.

Make a whole weekend of it with camping options, event base activities and the Hunua Hillbilly Hoedown. This promises to be a very special event with limited numbers.

 

Hunua Hillbilly Hoedown

It’s not the Hillbilly without a hoedown! What better way to round off the day the with some amazing live music from NZ’s best country duo, Coppers Run.

Three Stunning Courses

Choose your challenge! All courses utilise the awesome single tracks through this stunning native NZ bush, with plenty of challenging climbs and rewarding views to be had.

Giving Back

$5 from every entry fee will go directly to Friends of Hunua Ranges to help them keep fighting the good fight! Looking after the bush and protecting the Kōkako.

Unique cow bell medal for all our Ultramarathon finishers, plus a beautiful Kōkako medal for our Trail Marathon and 22km Run/Walk finishers!

Activities For The Whole Family

With games set up at event base, onsite pump track, food trucks, coffee van, swimming hole, plus the Kōkako Kids Dash, there is plenty to keep your supporters entertained while they wait.

Camping

With camping available at the stunning Upper Mangitawhiri Campground you will literally be right next to event base, so why not make a weekend of it!?

 

Spectator Shuttle Van

Complimentary shuttle van taking supporters of 60km and Marathon participants to two viewing points on course.

Centered around the stunning Upper Mangatawhiri Campground in the heart of the Hunua Regional Park; this location makes for one heck of an event base
