Camping Information 2023

This is one part of the event we are very excited about… and we hope you will be also. As part of the event, we are able to offer camping for both Friday and Saturday nights! For those of you who haven’t stayed out here before you are in for a treat, it is a truly magic spot to spend the weekend. Thanks to Auckland Council Southern Parks for making this possible!

We can accommodate up to 80 camping and this will be spread over approximately 40 allocated camping sites. Toilets, drinking water and warm showers will all be provided, everything else you will need to provide yourself.

Each site will be allowed 1 car parked in the camping area (weather permitting), which should make life easy to set-up your tent, etc.

Campervans and Caravans are also welcome.

We have kept the cost to a minimum ($20pp for both night, or less) to try and encourage as many of you as possible to come along and enjoy the full weekend experience.

* Strict ‘lights out’ times will be observed, and no noise is to be made after these times. They are 9pm Friday night and 11pm Saturday night.

We really hope many of you will take up this option!

Activities + Family Entertainment

As well as getting to see the runners at the support points around the course, there will be plenty of things to keep the kids entertained at event base during the day, including:

MTB skills area and pump track (so pack the bikes)
A river around the outside of event base to explore
Plenty of open space for playing
We will have some games set-up at event base, to be used throughout the day
Food & coffee onsite throughout the day

Evening Meal - Hunua Hoedown

What better way to recover and savour the feeling that comes after a big day on the trails than sitting down to a slap-up meal over a drink or two with newly made friends!?

This is an important aspect of this special event. We would love for as many of you as possible to join us for a meal and good time together on Saturday evening.This should be an epic evening, with a sumptuous meal, drinks and some fun entertainment (think barnyard, hoedown style…! 😊)

When you enter there will be an option to add dinner/evening entertainment for an additional $50 ($30 for kids) to your entry.
