Auckland has a new Ultra Marathon - the Hunua Hillbilly.

After a highly successful event in 2022 in honor of our dear trail friend Steve Neary - we have decide that this event is just too good not to do again! So, we are stoked to say this one is back on the event calendar for 2023 and promises to only be bigger and better!
60km of amazing single trail through absolutely stunning native bush, in the Hunua Ranges in Auckland, NZ. This event will appeal to anyone who loves a challenge and enjoys spending the day in true special place around likeminded people! Take on the full 60km Ultra and call yourself a real ‘Hunua Hillbilly’ or NEW this year, get a couple of mate’s together and complete as a team of 3!
This promises to be a very special event with very limited numbers….

What better way to round off the day the with some amazing live music from NZ’s best country duo, Coppers Run.

Giving back in honour of Steve
$10 from every entry fee will go directly to Friends of Hunua Ranges to help them keep fighting the good fight! Looking after the bush and protecting the Kokako.

Unique ‘cow bell’ style finisher medal for everyone who manages to make it through the 60 tough kms in time!
Post run dinner
The team from Krave Catering are once again on board and will be serving up the most amazing long and slow style BBQ dinner and dessert
Camping
With camping available at the stunning Upper Mangitawhiri Campground you will literally be right at event base, so why not make a weekend of it!?
